resume-writersWhat should you look for in a professional resume writer? There are many “Professional Resume Writers” on the Internet all claiming to have a superior service than the next. Here’s some tips on what to look for.

Awards:

Currently to date there is no independent Resume Writing Organisation that is not run by or has an direct association to Resume Writers. Do you think that they’re unbiased awards. The awards are not worth the paper they are written on. Don’t even mention the awards that are made up using Photoshop.

Samples:

Most resume writers will be happy to show samples of their work. Samples will show the quality and style of the writer while allowing you to assess if they’re resumes standout. Before and after pictures are a good indicator of ability.

Turn-around time:

Do you want to wait for your resume? As a paying customer I wouldn’t, that’s why I would look for a 2-5 day turn-around. A fast turn-around will get you back job hunting with your new resume and the less time unemployed the better. However be aware some resume writers will increase the price for a “speedy” turn-around.

Price:

I have seen some prices that are absolutely a “rip off”. Do you want to pay hundreds of dollars for a resume service, I don’t think you do. More money does not mean a better resume. I have seen some well written resumes for under a $100. I have been working in recruitment for many years and in that time I have criticized many resumes, only to be told that the applicant has had it professionally written. I just about fall off my chair when they tell me they paid $200. Don’t get ripped off.

The Writer:

Who’s going to be writing the resume? Look for resume writers with experience in recruitment, HR, Writing and Sales/Marketing. The best people to write your resume are those who have worked in the employment industry and are not just writers. Your resume is going to be far more effective if people like this are creating it, over resume writers that don’t have a clue about the job market.

Who do we recommend?

Resume Doctors - Why? Because they fit all of the above criteria, their prices are the cheapest in the industry (only $47) and they are fast becoming known as the best in the industry. Visit Resume Doctors Website - Here
